Record refrigerant loss for reporting in the portfolio view. Expand Emissions in the left sidebar and open Fugitive Emissions. Fugitive events roll into portfolio Scope 1 totals on Emissions overview and Benchmarking. For the accounting model, see GHG scopes. Click Emissions > Fugitive Emissions in the portfolio left sidebar.

Fugitive Emissions page with total emissions summary and fugitive events table

The Total fugitive emissions card shows portfolio-wide fugitive output in kg CO₂e for the active filters. Use Search to find events by equipment, building, or date, and click Filter for criteria such as building, refrigerant type, or reporting period. For the columns in the fugitive events table, see fugitive fields.

Add a fugitive emission record

Click + Add Fugitive Event to open the Add Fugitive Emission Record panel on the right. The panel subtitle reads Add refrigerant service activity for Scope 1 reporting.
Add Fugitive Emission Record side panel with Building Refrigerant Gas Type Report Date fields, Add Equipment link, Quantity Added Captured and Lost fields with kg unit, auto-calculation info, and Close and Submit buttons

Add Fugitive Emission Record panel with event information, quantities, and service fields

Auto-calculation enabled. Quantity Lost is calculated as Quantity Added minus Quantity Captured. EnerG converts pounds to kilograms before applying .
1

Select building and refrigerant

Choose Building and Refrigerant / Gas Type. Set Report Date to the service or leak date.
2

Add equipment

Click Add Equipment and complete equipment fields when the event applies to a specific asset (for example, RTU 01).
3

Enter quantities

Enter Quantity Added and Quantity Captured. Confirm Quantity Lost and Unit match the service report.
4

Add service details and documentation

Fill in Reason for Service and Service Provider / Technician when available. Add Data Source, Document URL, and Notes for audit evidence.
5

Submit the record

Click Submit to save the event. Click Close to exit without saving.
After you submit, the event appears in the fugitive events table and updates Total fugitive emissions on the summary card. Each row’s CO₂e Emissions reflects Quantity Lost, refrigerant GWP, and unit conversions applied by EnerG. Use the Edit and Delete actions in the Actions column to update or remove a record. For the full field list, see fugitive fields.
Link each event to the correct Building and refrigerant type. GWP values differ by gas, so incorrect selections change Scope 1 fugitive totals on portfolio rollups.
