# FDD dashboards

> Monitor building health with interactive active and historical event dashboards featuring real-time metrics, trend charts, and filterable data views.

FDD dashboards provide visual summaries of building health through interactive charts, metrics, and filterable data views. You can monitor both active and historical events from a single interface.

`Active` shows open events only. `Historical` shows events in the selected timeframe and compares them to the previous equivalent window.

<Info>
  Select a building from the [sites list](/products/kode-os/sites-and-map), then navigate to `FDD` > `Events` in the left sidebar. Select `Active` for the active events dashboard or `Historical` for the historical events dashboard.
</Info>

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Active" icon="activity">
    The active events dashboard displays real-time fault data for your building. Use it to monitor ongoing events, identify priority areas, and track acknowledgment status.

    ### Filters and section toggles

    Use the filter bar at the top of the dashboard to narrow the displayed data. The available dropdown slicers include Areas, Routines, Priorities, Device Types, Ack Status, Domains, Work Order, and Users. Select `Clear All` to reset all filters.

    Select `Save` to save your current filter selections as your personal default. To apply saved filters for all users viewing this building, expand the `Save` dropdown and select `Save for Building`.

    Select the eye icon next to `Filters` to toggle individual dashboard sections on or off.

    ### Routines, priority, and domain charts

    These charts help you identify which routines generate the most fault activity and how events distribute by severity and domain.

    <Frame caption="Routines bar chart with Priority and Domains charts">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/kodelabs/njejy12QoNdTJ3U4/images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-routines-priority.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=njejy12QoNdTJ3U4&q=85&s=c1b31fd383faada766372549cafc98bb" alt="Routines horizontal bar chart showing event count and duration per routine, a Priority gauge chart with percentage breakdown by Critical, Warning, and Alert, and a Domains pie chart" width="1024" height="404" data-path="images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-routines-priority.png" />
    </Frame>

    * **Routines** bar chart shows event count and duration per routine. Bar height represents count and the overlaid line represents duration.
    * **Priority** gauge chart breaks down active events by priority level with percentages.
    * **Domains** pie chart breaks down active events by fault domain with percentages.

    ### Device types, impact, and resolution

    These charts show how faults distribute across device types, floors, and acknowledgment status.

    <Frame caption="Device Types, Relative Impact, Resolution, and Duration and Count Overview charts">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/kodelabs/njejy12QoNdTJ3U4/images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-device-impact.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=njejy12QoNdTJ3U4&q=85&s=ff25d7e78910abb3467188346c52340f" alt="Affected Device Types donut chart, Relative Impact pie chart ranking floors by impacted device percentage, Resolution bar chart showing acknowledged versus unacknowledged counts, and Duration and Count Overview combo chart with per-floor counts and duration lines" width="1024" height="441" data-path="images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-device-impact.png" />
    </Frame>

    * **Affected Device Types** donut chart groups events by device type. Select a segment to filter other dashboard widgets.
    * **Relative Impact** pie chart ranks floors by the percentage of impacted devices.
    * **Resolution** bar chart shows the count of acknowledged versus unacknowledged events.
    * **Duration and Count Overview** combo chart displays per-floor data: acknowledged/unacknowledged count, escalated/not escalated count, event duration line, and ack duration line.

    ### Table view and assignees

    The bottom of the dashboard provides a Table View and an Assignees table.

    <Frame caption="Table View with event details and Assignees table with per-user metrics">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/kodelabs/njejy12QoNdTJ3U4/images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-table-assignees.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=njejy12QoNdTJ3U4&q=85&s=45e333cab91dc80cd3aa52426300cc7e" alt="Table View listing active events with columns for Name, Device, Device Type, Point Name, Point Value, Start Time, End Time, Duration, Priority, Work Order URL, SLA, Area, and Ack'ed, with Events Incidents and Ack Mode toggles, followed by Assignees table showing per-user Incidents, Events, Ack'ed, Max Escalation, and Average Duration" width="1024" height="433" data-path="images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-active-table-assignees.png" />
    </Frame>

    The **Table View** lists all active events in a filterable, sortable table. Switch between `Events` and `Incidents` views using the toggle at the top right. Select row checkboxes to bulk-acknowledge or create work orders from the footer.

    The **Assignees** table shows per-user assignment data. Each row displays a user with their incident count, event count, acknowledged count, max escalation level, and average event duration.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Historical" icon="history">
    The historical events dashboard displays fault data over a configurable time range. Use it to identify trends and evaluate building performance over days or weeks.

    ### Time range and filters

    Use the time range selector at the top right to choose the reporting period. The default is `Last 14 Days`. Select a different range to update all charts and metrics across the dashboard. Select `Pause Streaming` to freeze the current data view while you analyze the dashboard.

    The same filter bar, save options, and section toggles from the active dashboard are available here, along with two additional section options: `Count & Duration Trend` and `Operation Daily Overview`.

    ### Dashboard sections

    The historical dashboard includes the same sections as the active dashboard -- Building Summary, Routines/Priority/Domain, Device Types and Impact, Table View, and Assignees -- with all metrics calculated as daily averages over the selected time range.

    | Metric                             | Description                                   |
    | ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
    | **Daily Avg Events** | Average number of events generated per day |
    | **Daily Avg Incidents** | Average number of incidents generated per day |
    | **Daily Avg High Priority Events** | Average high-priority events per day |
    | **Daily Avg Escalated Events** | Average escalated events per day |
    | **Daily Avg Affected Areas** | Average number of affected areas per day |
    | **Daily Avg Duration** | Average event duration per day |
    | **Daily Avg Ack'ed Ratio** | Average acknowledgment ratio per day |
    | **Daily Avg Ack'ed Time** | Average time to acknowledgment per day |

    ### Count and duration trend

    The Count & Duration Trend chart shows daily event counts by priority as lines and average duration as bars. Use this chart to spot upward or downward trends in fault activity over the selected time range.

    <Frame caption="Count and Duration Trend chart showing daily event counts by priority and average duration">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/kodelabs/SxbaONoYYoMWCQfA/images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-historical-trend-overview.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=SxbaONoYYoMWCQfA&q=85&s=01f1c9a211e68a4b07aeb972e1e01f0e" alt="Count and Duration Trend combo chart with daily bars for average duration and lines for Life-Safety, Critical, Warning, and Alert priority counts from May 6 to May 12 2026, followed by an Operation Daily Overview chart showing Events Number, Acked Events, and Escalated Events as horizontal bars" width="1024" height="453" data-path="images/kode-os/fdd/kode-os-fdd-historical-trend-overview.png" />
