# Data and meter fields

> Reference for EnerG service types, units, meter columns, data table columns, and data quality values

Look up the fields, columns, and status values that repeat across EnerG meter and data-table views. For concepts, see [Data sources and meters](/products/energ/concepts/data-and-meters).

  Service types
</h2>

Service types describe what flows through a meter. EnerG groups them into energy, water, and waste for portfolio totals.

### Energy

Chilled Water, Coal, Coke, Diesel, District Chilled Water, District Heat, District Hot Water, District Steam, Electric, Electric on Site Solar, Electric on Site Wind, Fuel Oil, Kerosene, Lighting, Natural Gas, Other (Energy), Propane, Steam

### Water

Irrigation, Municipally Supplied Potable Water (Indoor, Outdoor, Mixed), Municipally Supplied Reclaimed Water (Indoor, Outdoor, Mixed), Other (Indoor, Outdoor, Mixed), Water

### Waste

Common streams include Trash, Mixed Recyclables, Cardboard / Corrugated Containers, Food / Food Scraps, Compostable - Mixed / Other, Electronics, Glass, Paper (Mixed, Books, Copy Paper), Plastics (Mixed, Wrap / Film), Batteries, Grass / Yard Trimmings, Fats / Oils / Grease, Building Materials (Carpet, Steel, Concrete, Wood, Mixed), Lamps / Light Bulbs, Office Supplies, Pallets, Regulated Medical Waste, and Other.

Additional service types can be added by request after product review.

  Meter table columns
</h2>

These columns appear on [Building meters](/products/energ/buildings/meters) and [Portfolio meters](/products/energ/analytics/portfolio-meters).

| Column            | What it shows                                         |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| Meter             | Meter number or name. Links to detail                 |
| Meter Description | Optional label                                        |
| Building          | Site the meter belongs to (portfolio view)            |
| Level             | Main Meter or Sub Meter                               |
| Service Type      | Commodity, such as Electric or Natural Gas            |
| Unit              | Usage unit, such as kWh or ccf                        |
| Currency          | Currency for cost fields                              |
| Status            | Active or inactive                                    |
| Completeness      | Percent of expected billing coverage                  |
| Data Source       | Origin such as Utility Hub, KODE OS, or Virtual Entry |
| Provider Name     | Utility provider when available                       |
| Account Number    | Provider account number                               |
| Account Status    | Connection state, such as Connection Success          |

  Data table columns
</h2>

The Data Table appears on portfolio and building energy and water dashboards and on each meter's detail view. It has two tabs over the same data.

| Calendarized   | Usage and cost spread across calendar months         |

| Account Number    | Provider account number                                       |
| Charges           | Billed amount                                                 |
| Currency          | Currency for cost                                             |
| Usage             | Consumption for the period                                    |
| Usage Unit        | Unit, such as kWh                                             |
| Estimated         | Whether the row is projected. A dash means final              |
| Data Origin       | How the row entered EnerG, such as Provider or System Accrual |
| Start Date        | Period start                                                  |
| End Date          | Period end                                                    |

| Service Address          | Service location on the bill                 |
| Next Expected Statement  | Expected date for the next bill              |
| Account Number           | Provider account number                      |
| Account Status           | Connection state                             |
| Account Status Details   | Provider status code, such as DATAACCESSIBLE |

| Equipment          | Equipment or load the meter serves                         |
| End Use            | End-use category for reporting                             |
| Scope              | Main Meter or Sub Meter                                    |
| Unit               | Usage unit                                                 |
| Currency           | Currency for cost fields                                   |
| Service Type       | Commodity                                                  |
| Include In Metrics | Whether the meter rolls into portfolio KPIs and benchmarks |
| Service Start Date | First day the meter contributes to analytics               |
| Service End Date   | Last valid day. Empty while active                         |
| Status             | ACTIVE or inactive                                         |
| Data Source        | Feed origin, such as Utility Hub or KODE OS                |
| Origin             | Additional origin category                                 |
| Granularity        | Billing or read granularity                                |
| Deregulated        | Deregulated supply arrangement toggle                      |

  Data quality legend
</h2>

The Bills Data Quality timeline colors each billing period by coverage. It appears on meter detail and on dashboard Data Quality reports.

| Legend color           | Meaning                                   |
| ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Complete (green)       | Full billing coverage for the period      |
| Delivery Only (orange) | Delivery charges without full supply data |
| Supply Only (pink)     | Supply data without matching delivery     |
| Gap (light blue)       | Missing expected bills                    |
| Overlap (yellow)       | Overlapping or duplicate bill periods     |

  Data origin values
</h2>

| Value          | Meaning                                   |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| Provider       | Row came from a utility bill              |
| System Accrual | Row was gap-filled by an accrual estimate |
| Manual         | Row was entered by a user                 |
