# Data quality

> How EnerG monitors and ensures the accuracy and completeness of utility data

Use `Data Quality` in EnerG to find and fix meters where bills or interval reads are incomplete, inconsistent, or misaligned. Start here, then open the completeness, alert, or comparison workflow you need.

For how EnerG scores coverage and why low scores drop a building from benchmarking, see the <Tooltip tip="A score from 0% to 100% that measures billed coverage from each meter's service start through today.">data completeness</Tooltip> concept in [Data completeness](/products/energ/concepts/data-completeness).

## Choose a task

* **Fix completeness gaps**: Review meter timelines and upload missing bills in [Data completeness](/products/energ/data-quality/data-completeness).
* **Triage alerts**: Resolve missing bills, gaps, and cycle-length issues in [Alert center](/products/energ/data-quality/alert-center).
* **Validate bills against interval reads**: Build comparison sets in [Meter comparisons](/products/energ/data-quality/meter-comparisons).

<Info>
  Unmapped meters do not receive a building completeness score until you assign them to a building.
